The Lobster Shack restaurant

Currently open Saturday & Sunday 12-5 (please note we do have weddings on Saturday’s so check the availability calendar)

Future Plans

We are planning to close the Lobster Shack @ East Quay restaurant in June 2015 and will be re-opening in the Brewery Bar next door. We will be installing fish fryers so we can offer fish & chips and the extensive seafood menu the Lobster Shack currently offers. These changes will mean we have a restaurant open on a more consistent basis and customers will not have to worry about us being closed for private functions.  Please keep up to date on our twitter page @EastQuay or for more information please call us on 01227 772 157.

About

The East Quay building is now home to the lobster shack restaurant, with an extensive menu bringing together ideas from French Lobster Restaurants, American Clam Shacks and local produce such as Whitstable Oysters and Local Fish.

You can enjoy this rustic restaurant gazing out of the windows or by taking your food (and selection of soft & alcoholic drinks) just outside onto the shingle beach to take in the ambience and views of our local seaside town.

Located on the East Quay of Whitstable’s historic harbor, our restaurant offers stunning sea views along with the freshest sea food that you will find in the town – all located within the original 19th century oyster grading house. Lobsters and Oysters are still kept live in the original holding tanks directly next door to the restaurant.
